Morning Star Estate’s boutique hotel has had a chequered history. The dormitory wing of the historical ‘Morning Star Boys Home’ circa 1936, was transformed into a 20 room mt eliza hotel, which opened in January 2002, with a 4-star rating.

Each of the 20 rooms has its own ensuite. Originally there were 30 dormitory rooms, and a decision was made to convert every second room into two ensuites. As a consequence the size of the rooms are ‘undersized’ to what many guests may anticipate from a 4 star establishment. The Boutique Hotel has 15 standard double rooms, 4 standard queen rooms and 1 Executive Suite with a spa bath in this Bed and Breakfast Mornington Peninsula.
